Sulfates (sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate) are the aggressive foaming agents in most drugstore shampoos. They clean effectively but strip sebum, disrupt the acid mantle, and irritate sensitive skin. Sulfate-free formulations use gentler surfactants — the standard in every Grizzly wash product.
